Look, Ninjak is the greatest. That’s a fact. That’s science. We’ve heard rumblings for a while now about a live-action Ninjak webseries, having heard some casting choices and subject matter via Bleeding Cool last month, and the whole premise of seeing Michael Rowe don the purple and swords had Valiant fans dying to know even more. Reportedly helmed by Bat in the Sun, the production company behind the deliciously frenetic Super Beat Down, the potential for an authentic Ninjak visual experience is ripe (i.e. lots of ninja ass kicking). There was speculation about some other possible casting choices, knowing that Jason David Frank (Power Rangers), John Morrison (Lucha Underground), and Derek Theler (Baby Daddy) were also on board the top-secret project and possibly playing other Valiant universe heroes (via ComicBook.com) which is bananas exciting. But here’s a new tidbit about the project that adds some extra spice to the Ninjak stew via the Comicstorian YouTube channel that shows some behind the scenes training footage and confirms two more cast members – Kevin Porter (best known as Batman in all of Bat in the Sun’s productions, including Super Power Beat Down) and model/actress Ciera Foster.

Foster’s looking like she could be a mean Livewire or an inspired Punk Mambo and Porter’s also got the brawn to fill the bloody shoes of quite a few of Valiant’s stable. Charlie Palmer, perhaps? Maybe he’s The Goat. Wouldn’t that be rad? All these hints and teasers are fun and all, but the clock is ticking down to the official announcement at NYCC where Valiant will likely drop all the juicy deets.
