It’s been a while since we’ve had a relatively straight-forward episode with just our two Mavericks discussing the news, huh? Well, don’t get used to it. We’ve got a lot of plans and a lot of guests booked for the show for the next couple of weeks. But it’s nice to get back to basics for an episode, a breather before we cover more big topics and guest appearances. This week we discuss the latest licenses, recent cancellations, and the most exciting new series on the horizon, while also eulogizing the death of the great late Jiro Taniguchi. On top of all that, we’ve got lengthy discussions of Naoshi Komi’s heart-stopping one-shot Tokidoki, the latest Jump Starts We Never Learn and U19, and top it all off with the main headliner of this episode, Yoshitoki Oima’s newest series To Your Eternity! It’s good, you guys. It’s really, really good. Go read it. After listening to this podcast, of course.
