All-Comic’s You Should Be Reading is the weekly list of comics we can’t wait to get our hands on. Each of our writers picks their most-anticipated comic for the upcoming week and sums up why it needs to be on your radar. Get your comic shop on the phone – here’s what you should be reading on August 28, 2019. This week, we’re looking at Batman/Superman #1 and Wonder Woman #77.

Batman/Superman #1 by Joshua Williamson, David Marquez, Alejandro Sanchez

Jeremy: We seem to get these Batman and Superman team up books every few years, and they’re pretty good for the most part. What separates this volume from others is that now the Batman who laughs is in the fold, and he’s corrupting heroes. Joshua Williamson has a pretty cool story idea, and a great villain to work with. This should be a fun story to read. Don’t you know that your friends always make the best enemies?

Wonder Woman #77 by G. Willow Wilson, Jesus Merino, Vicente Cifuentes, Roulo Fajardo Jr.

Josh: Following Wilson’s announcement that she only has a few more months on this book only makes me love it more. She’s handled Diana perfectly in her run thus far and, though it’s bittersweet to know it’s coming to an end, I’m sure it’ll be a satisfying one. Not to mention Willow’s handling of DC’s “The Gift” seems to be far and away the least intrusive. Wilson’s prowess aside, Jesus Merino drawing this series is always welcome – and Wonder Woman #77 is certainly one you should be reading this week.
