- Since Edgar Wright has dropped out of directing Ant-Man, Marvel Studios has been trying to find a replacement. Anchorman director Adam McKay was reportedly attached to the film, but quickly bowed out due to scheduling conflicts. Marvel are still firm on keeping the original release date of July 17, 2015 and continue to search for Wright, and now McKay’s, replacements.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news (and Marvel has confirmed) that Josh Brolin will lend his vocal talents to the Guardians of the Galaxy as the mad titan Thanos. It has not been reported (however) if the character will be mo-cap, CGI, or if Brolin will be wearing some sort of costume/prosthetics. Marvel seems to be keeping hush on that part. The film is scheduled for release August 1, 2014.
