BREAKING: Suicide Squad Cast Announced

According to Variety, DC/Warner has finally found it’s Suicide Squad, including a replacement for Heath Ledger’s Joker.

In a prepared statement, WB President Greg Silverman has said, “The Warner Bros. roots are deep on this one. We look forward to seeing this terrific ensemble, under David Ayer’s amazing guidance, give new meaning to what it means to be a villain and what it means to be a hero.”

Jared Leto – The Joker

Will Smith – Deadshot

Tom Hardy – Rick Flagg

Margot Robbie – Harley Quinn

Jai Courtney – Boomerang

Cara Delevinge – Enchantress

It’s going to be interesting to see this group of actors together in one movie, and it’s interesting to see DC bringing back Tom Hardy (who famously broke the Bat in the Nolan Batman movies) for another role. On paper, this looks like it has the potential to be a huge, break out hit for DC’s movie universe–and one that they sorely need. What do you think about this casing news?
