“Is this what I think it is?”

“I believe so.”

“No…way.”

Batman really wants to be the Batman to save the world, but Batman isn’t about to let Batman have all the glory…are you following me? The mantle of Terry’s Batman is taken up by a familiar face – you’re going to be surprised who it is! (Only if you haven’t been reading any of this series, otherwise you should be able to guess pretty easily). But Bruce isn’t exactly thrilled by the news.

Writers Brian Azzarello, Jeff Lemire, Dan Jurgens, and Keith Giffen take this issue to serve up some last encounters before the end comes next week (the end is near!). This leads to Tim learning who has taken the mantle of a certain flying-on-fire Justice League member (wow, I should totally be in charge of naming superheroes). With the end so near is there any way to stop Brother Eye?

The artists on this issue are Alberto Ponticelli and Andy MacDonald on pencils and inks, Allan Goldman on pencils, Dan Green on inks, and colors once again by Hi-Fi. A great page comes from the new Batman’s entrance onto the scene. With Terry gone someone had to take his place, and who better than [Name Here] to do it! His entrance onto the scene has the newest Batman holding canisters that he was ready to throw along with the ones he used to save Batman, Mr. Terrific, and The Atom. Even with the mask on you can tell he’s trying to make a “Totally just saved you” face. Bruce scowls at the entrance, as well at the fact he had to be saved…he’s not a big fan of that kind of thing. Hi-Fi colors this scene perfectly and the scene is definitely a standout in the issue. Seeing Batman upset is usually always a good scene.

The end is near, it’s been a crazy ride, but come this issue’s end..what is next?!
