This truly is the Star Wars album you were looking for. It’s so good, in fact, that it’s our first (and probably only) music album review. Galactic Empire released a self-titled, debut album today (from Rise Records) that has the Star Wars theme music you know and love, but with a hard-hitting, metal twist.
From the Main Theme to the Throne Room / End Title, Galactic Empire smashes you in the fact with ripping guitars and technically sound drums. They even throw in their version of the Cantina Band theme that is not to be missed. This album literally has it all. When you hear tracks like Duel of the Fates, you can’t help but get goosebumps. The connection with the original music is strong in this one. The members consist of: Boba Fett – drums, Darth Vader – lead guitar, Stormtrooper – bass, Shadowtrooper – guitar, Imperial Guard – guitar. It’s an all-star line up, make no mistake.
Within the first few minutes of listening to this album, assuming you have taste and like Metal, you’re undoubtedly going to love it. The production values are suburb; the band, collectively, have honed their skills to the point of perfection and really kill it on every track. You can tell they’re star wars fans, they’re metal heads and they’re definitely guys that you’d want to have a beer with. So, buy this album and soak of the metal Star Wars you maybe never knew you needed
Also, when you listen to Cantina Room, picture that big, blue elephant-guy wearings clothes from Rob Halford circle the 80s. You won’t be sorry.
