Ah, ye of little faith…

Today is the day Dragon Ball Super fans have been waiting for. After months of waiting, a long-awaited project fans have been clamoring for has finally arrived. And no, I’m not talking about the Broly movie. That’s right folks, it took only six months to get it done, but our Dragon Ball Super podcast is here! Joining us for this super Super podcast are Sam Leach, One Piece Podcast contributor and daily streaming reviewer for Anime News Network, and for the very first time on Manga Mavericks we’re joined by Chris Larios, host of Weekly Manga Recap and The Super Larios Bros. Show!

We discuss our histories with Dragon Ball and our thoughts on the entirety of Dragon Ball Super, digging especially deep into the Tournament of Power. We express how much we liked the comedy, adored Master Roshi’s dramatic moments, got hyped for the fights, were frustrated over Tenshinhan’s treatment, found ourselves confused by Gohan’s character arc, nerdily nitpick whether the show’s depiction of the Spirit Bomb is accurate to the manga, and a whole lot more! We run the gamut of emotions, but always from a place of love and in the spirit of good fun, just like the show itself! It’s a super long podcast for a show we super love, and though the wait for it has been long, we hope you enjoy it!

Also, can you believe it’s almost been a year since the last Manga Mavericks & Anime? We need to pick up the pace with this side-podcast lest it gets relegated to an annual show! Well, the next one should come out sooner…though in saying that, I hope I haven’t jinxed myself. ^^,
