Even though World Trigger has been on hiatus for a long time, the love of its fans remains strong. With the series celebrating its fifth anniversary this year, we thought now would be as good as time as any to re-read and talk about it! Joining us are two VERY passionate World Trigger fans and Osamu Mikumo stans – Annaliese Christman, letterer of the series for Viz Media and Weekly Shonen Jump, and Wensleydale Cheddar, host of the Shonen Jump podcast Stammer Stream and the voice of Osamu in Team ODA:R’s World Trigger abridged series! Can they help LumRanmaYasha convince Colton that it’s the best sports manga that isn’t technically a sports manga ever made? Either way, we had a long and fun discussion of one of our favorite series, and we hope you enjoy it!

But first, we’ve got a ton of news! We talk about both the Bookscan and Diamond monthly lists, new licenses, lots of industry shakeups, and a few fun polls! There’s so much to talk about, it’s no wonder this episode ended up being four hours long! In fact, we had to cut stuff out of it so it wouldn’t run over five! Speaking of which, you can expect another Q&A Extravaganza focused on World Trigger coming next week! You guys have got a lot of listening to do, and you better start! So get in your Trion bodies and report for duty, because it’s time to hit the trigger on that play button! Trigger on!

We’re recording the podcast on Sunday, June 3rd! We’ll be joined by Josh Dunham, host of Senpai Coast to Coast and founder of Wave Motion Cannon! We’re also recording a special Dragon Ball Super retrospective featuring Sam Leach, who reviewed the series for Anime News Network, as well as Chris Larios, host of Weekly Manga Recap! We’re really excited to talk about Dragon Ball with these fine gents and knowing us you can expect another long, dense podcast out of our conversation!
