Welcome to yet another episode of The Redshirt Obituary Podcast, where our hosts, Scott (the rookie) and Brooks (the veteran), watch the original series of Star Trek. This week’s episode is, “The Enemy Within,” is a fun one where we see Captain Kirk split into two halves, an “good Kirk” and an “evil Kirk.” The guys get into a discussion about Freud, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and the surprisingly complex psychological analysis found in this episode. They also do their best to try and dissect a very uncomfortable attempted rape scene. However, it isn’t all serious and grim, because there’s a really cute alien dog. As always, the redshirt body count is tallied and this week we have a very uncomfortable installment of Ladies Slain.
