ONE MAN’S DARK PAST COMES BACK TO HAUNT HIM IN SONS OF THE DEVIL

Image Comics is pleased to announce that Brian Buccellato and Toni Infante are teaming up for an all-new psychological horror story about one man’s discovery of familial blood ties to a cult in SONS OF THE DEVIL.

SONS OF THE DEVIL is a dark look at a blue collar 25-year-old orphan who learns he is the son of a cult leader. Like True Detective and The Following, SONS OF THE DEVIL is an exploration into the dark side of human psychology. It’s a grounded take on cults that balances the real world with the supernatural. It’s gritty, character-driven, and tonally lays somewhere between SOUTHERN BASTARDS and NAILBITER.

Sons of the Devil IS a dark story about cults. It’s got murder, sacrifice and the sorts of things you would expect from the title. But at its heart, it’s a story about family—and specifically the idea that while you can’t choose your biology, you can choose who makes up your own inner circle. Ultimately, you CAN choose your family.”

Infante added: “The moment I finished Brian’s first script for Sons of the Devil, I knew that it was a project that I had to be a part of. Despite not knowing where it will lead us or how difficult the work would be, I just had to find out. I guess I really related to Travis (the main character) and his need to learn the truth about his past, and I hope the readers will, too.”

“Brian’s pitch for this really grabbed me, and I can’t wait for this to be on the stands so everyone else can become enthralled with this story the same as me. I wasn’t familiar with Toni’s artwork, but I became a believer fast — it’s very striking and perfectly suited to the subject matter, just incredible work.”

SONS OF THE DEVIL is set to release from Image Comics in Spring 2015.
