Comic Television #11 – Week Beginning 16 May 2016!

So we’ve reached the season finale week with a large contingent of shows saying goodbye for the season, and in the case of the awesome Banshee, for good. Agents of SHIELD and Grimm each give us back-to-back episodes to cap off this season, making it a perfect one for fans especially as both are coming back for more.

MONDAY

Gotham 2.21 “A Legion of Horribles” (8pm, Fox)

Hugo Strange welcomes a familiar face to Gotham after he resurrects Fish Mooney in Indian Hill. Later, Bruce discovers a friend is in danger and teams up with Gordon, Alfred and Lucius, while uncovering more of Strange’s experiments.

12 Monkeys 2.05 “Bodies of Water” (9pm, SyFy) *

In the present, Cassie and Jennifer Goines run from the 12 Monkeys; in 2044, Cole and Ramse face off against Deacon.

Person of Interest 5.04 “6,741” (10pm, CBS)

Sameen Shaw escapes her captors, but the team is unsure of her mental state when she begins to act paranoid and reckless.

TUESDAY

The Flash 2.22 “Invincible” (8pm, The CW)

After Zoom unleashes an army of Earth-2 meta-humans on Central City, Barry is shaken when he sees their leader is the Black Canary’s Earth-2 doppelganger, the Black Siren. Meanwhile, Wally takes to the streets to help The Flash stop the meta-humans, which worries Joe. Iris and Henry are concerned about Barry taking on Zoom.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D 3.21 & 3.22 “Absolution(1)/(2)” (9pm-10pm, ABC)

It’s a showdown a season in the making as S.H.I.E.L.D. takes on Hive. With Hive’s master plan finally revealed, the team must spring into action. Who will live and who will die?

Person of Interest 5.05 “ShotSeeker” (10pm, CBS)

Reese protects an NYPD analyst whose investigation into a software glitch has drawn the attention of Samaritan. Also, Reese and Fusco are threatened by an ally of Elias’s, who is looking to avenge his friend’s death.

WEDNESDAY

Arrow 4.22 “Lost in the Flood” (8pm, The CW)

Oliver and Diggle race to rescue Thea, while Felicity, Curtis and Noah join together to stop Darhk.

Supernatural 11.22 “We Happy Few” (9pm, The CW)

Sam and Dean face their biggest challenge yet. Rowena makes her move.

The Americans 4.10 “Munchkins” (10pm, FX) *

When Paige’s long-ago indiscretion threatens to resurface and destroy the family, Philip and Elizabeth find themselves scrambling – and Paige finds herself reevaluating who her parents really are.

THURSDAY

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow 1.16 “Legendary” (8pm, The CW) – Season Finale

After the numerous sacrifices the team has made since the beginning of this ride, Rip decides that it’s time they each decide their own destiny and returns them to Central City a few months after they first left. Returned to their normal lives, each team member must individually decide if they are willing to sacrifice everything in order to save the world. Meanwhile, Sara visits with her father who delivers some heartbreaking news about her sister.

The 100 3.16 “Perverse Instantiation (2)”, (9pm, The CW) – Season Finale *

Our heroes begin to face the reality of their tragic situation. Everyone prepares for a final showdown.

The Blacklist 3.23 “Alexander Kirk: Conclusion (2)” (9pm, NBC) – Season Finale

As Reddington and the task force close in on the person responsible for Liz’s death, a shocking betrayal leaves them racing to save one of their own.

Orphan Black 4.06 “The Scandal of Altruism” (10pm, BBC America)

When Cosima admits doubts about finding a cure in time to save her life, Sarah makes a lone decision that exposes Kendall to those she’s spent years hiding from. Meanwhile, Art and Felix team up to protect naïve clone, Krystal Godderitch, from herself.

FRIDAY

Grimm 5.21/22 “Beginning of the End (1/2)” (9pm-10pm, NBC) – Season Finale

Black Claw makes a strategic move against Hank that shocks everyone and sends Nick on a war path. Hadrian’s Wall ramps up their investigation as they seek out a mysterious man named Bonaparte. Meanwhile, Adalind and Capt. Renard must learn to deal with their new and very unpredictable reality with Diana.

The Originals 3.22 “The Bloody Crown” (9pm, The CW) – Season Finale *

After months of thwarting off dangerous threats and deadly attacks, the Mikaelson siblings finally come face to face with the one person that could lead to their ultimate demise. With the stakes higher than ever and the compound overrun by an army of his oldest sworn enemies, Klaus is put on trial for centuries of atrocities he’s committed. Meanwhile, Marcel, who has been spiraling out of control following an act of betrayal by those closest to him, is stunned by the unexpected arrival of someone from his past. Finally, Elijah, Freya and Kol frantically search for a way to save their family before it’s too late.

Banshee 4.08 “Requiem” (10pm, Cinemax) – Series Finale *

Resolved to leave Banshee, Lucas learns that the murder case he thought was finally closed may in fact be opening again. After a tense faceoff with Calvin and the Brotherhood, Proctor looks to finalize his deal with the Colombians. Carrie takes aim at one final act of vengeance. Brock demands allegiance from Bunker as Banshee braces for an uncertain future.

Wynonna Earp 1.08 “Two-Faced Jack” (10pm, SyFy)

Henry and Dolls put aside their differences to infiltrate a Revenant hive; at the same time, Wynonna refuses to be a serial killer’s next victim.

SATURDAY

Doctors at L’Hopital des Anges attempt to save the lives of Claire and her unborn baby; King Louis asks Claire to judge two men accused of engaging in the dark arts.

Tyrion seeks a strange ally. Bran learns a great deal. Brienne goes on a mission. Arya is given a chance to prove herself.

Penny Dreadful 3.05 “A Blade of Grass” (10pm, Showtime) 

Vanessa convinces Dr. Seward to use hypnosis to take her back in time.
