Well, this should certainly be an interesting week for comic-based television. With Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice currently tearing up the box office, Supergirl has a special guest star in the form of Grant Gustin’s The Flash, in what is easily the most exciting thing that should be happening this week. But don’t forget to check out everything else, too.
Monday
We kick off the week with the aforementioned meeting between Barry & Kara in Supergirl, Gotham sees Gordon removed from protective custody, and Lucifer’s titular character learns that his family isn’t the only dysfunctional one out there. Also The Magicians and Better Call Saul continue their runs, capping off an excellent Monday night of television.
Supergirl 1.18 “World’s Finest” (8pm, CBS)
Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home.
Gotham 2.18 “Prisoners” (8pm, FOX)
After Gordon is removed from protective custody, he begins to face new threats and dangers inside prison walls. In order to survive, he must rely on a new friend, as well as Bullock and other outside help. Meanwhile, Penguin grows closer to his father, while his step-mother and step-siblings move forward with their own plans for the family.
Lucifer 1.10 “Pops” (9pm, FOX)
Lucifer and Chloe are tasked with solving the murder of a prominent restaurateur. When they meet his son, they suspect he played a part in the death. Meanwhile, Chloe’s mom returns home, sending Chloe’s life into upheaval, as Lucifer learns his own dysfunctional family isn’t nearly as unique as he thought.
The Magicians 1.11 “Remedial Battle Magic” (9pm, SyFy) *
Quentin and the others learn battle magic as they prepare for a showdown in Fillory. But this challenge leads to building frustrations…pushing some apart and others together. Julia and Kady take on a mission with the Free Traders that may push them too far.
Better Call Saul 2.07 “Inflatable” (10pm, AMC) *
When Mike’s hand is forced, he can no longer hide his frustration; he and Jimmy work together to keep the peace.
Tuesday
The second helping of Grant Gustin’s Flash this week, and he travels back in time to get some tuition from Eobard Thawne – whilst he was posing as Harrison Wells. Agents of SHIELD gives us an anti-Inhuman group, and iZombie’s Liv gains some useful information. And in the non-comic offering of the day, Rosa’s love life gets complicated in Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
The Flash 2.17 “Flash Back” (8pm, The CW)
After the shocking revelation that Zoom is Jay Garrick, Barry is more determined than ever to get back to Earth-2 to stop Zoom forever. Desperate to find a way to increase his speed, Barry decides to travel back in time and masquerade as his earlier self in order to get his arch-nemesis, Dr. Harrison Wells/Eobard Thawne, to teach him how to run faster. However, things don’t go as planned and Barry is stunned to face familiar foe Hartley Rathaway, as well as old friend Eddie Thawne. Iris makes peace with her past in order to embrace her future.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D 3.14 “Watchdogs” (9pm, ABC)
Agent Mack and his brother step in when a radical group called the Watchdogs plans to eliminate the Inhumans; Simmons finds a powerful chemical compound.
iZombie 2.16 “Pour Some Sugar, Zombie” (9pm, The CW)
Liv consumes the brain of a recently murdered stripper and uncovers some extremely useful information. Meanwhile, Blaine isn’t quite himself lately, and Ravi makes a startling discovery. Lastly, Major and Ravi are helping Peyton move back in with Liv when she receives a surprising phone call.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine 3.20 “Paranoia” (9pm, Fox) *
Rosa enlists Jake to help change Terry’s disapproving opinion about her fast-moving relationship with Adrian Pimento. But their love for each other is put on hold when Pimento thinks someone from his past is trying to kill him.
WEDNESDAY
Brie Larvan shows up on Arrow, and there’s a long-awaited confrontation between Ahsoka and Darth Vader in Star Wars Rebels’ two-part finale. Underground sees the slaves on the run tracked by a hunter, and The Americans’ dysfunctional family try to keep things together.
Arrow 4.17 “Beacon of Hope” (8pm, The CW)
Brie Larvan breaks out of jail and turns up at Palmer Tech threatening to kill everyone unless she gets the bio-chip that is implanted in Felicity’s spine. When Oliver realizes that Felicity, Thea and Donna are trapped in Palmer Tech with everyone else, he looks to a surprising ally to help Team Arrow save the day.
Star Wars Rebels 2.19 “Twilight of the Apprentice Part I” / 2:20 “Twilight of the Apprentice Part II” (9pm, DisneyXD) – Season Finale!
After gaining information about the Sith, Kanan, Ezra, and Ahsoka battle the Inquisitors with the help of a new ally, but are overmatched when Vader arrives.
Underground 1.04 “Firefly” (10pm, WGN America) *
A notorious slave hunter tracks the runners as John and Elizabeth face a lethal predicament.
The Americans 4.03 “Experimental Prototype City of Tomorrow” (10pm, FX) *
Paige copes with new burdens that come with her family’s secret – as Philip and Elizabeth struggle to contain their cover without destroying their daughter.
THURSDAY
Ray, Sara and Kendra deal with an apparent betrayal in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and that’s the only comic book series on this Thursday as elsewhere. However, The 100 and Vikings are both shows you should alsp be watching.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow 1.09 “Left Behind” (8pm, The CW)
Ray, Sara and Kendra are shocked after they watch the Waverider fly off without them, leaving them stranded in the ‘50s. After waiting months for their teammates to come back, the three realize they must move on with their lives. Ray and Kendra bond as a couple but Sara decides to return to the League of Assassins and Ra’s al Ghul.
The 100 3.09 “Stealing Fire” (9pm, The CW)
Clarke discovers a shocking truth, and Octavia is forced to make a decision that could have devastating consequences. Meanwhile, Kane and Abby share a moment.
Vikings 4.07 “The Profit and the Loss” (10pm, History)
In England, King Ecbert’s true ambitions are revealed as he plots to gain the crown of Mercia while outside Paris. The Vikings attack Paris with considerable force, but will Rollo’s defenses be too much for them to overcome? Meanwhile, Harbard, the mysterious wanderer, returns and causes a stir amongst the women of Kattegat.
FRIDAY
It’s a supernatural-themed Friday! Sleepy Hollow kicks off the week with its own season finale (possibly the series finale if it gets cancelled?), Grimm deals with a woman who has aged overnight, The Originals sees foes descending to New Orleans to take out Klaus, and also outside of the comic book genre (because technically Sleepy Hollow & Grimm are CB shows due to their tie-ins) Banshee returns for a final season! I can’t wait.
Sleepy Hollow 3.17 “Delaware” (8pm, Fox) – Season Finale
With a single day left before The Hidden One regains omniscience, Abbie and Crane must do the unthinkable in a last-ditch effort to save the world. Meanwhile, Jenny, Joe and Sophie devise a plan to stall as the Witnesses work.
Grimm 5.15 “Skin Deep” (9pm, NBC)
When Nick and Hank come across a beautiful young woman who seems to have aged 70 years overnight and died, they suspect Wesen involvement. The investigation leads to a local doctor and Rosalee is enlisted to help find the truth. Meanwhile, Eve takes bold steps to learn more about Capt. Renard’s nefarious dealings.
The Originals 3.16 “Alone With Everybody” (9pm, The CW)
When rumors begin to spread about the remaining white oak bullet, dangerous foes descend upon New Orleans in an attempt to take down Klaus once and for all. As the threats continue to grow, Elijah urges his siblings to lay low at the compound while Marcel, Vincent and Josh chase down a lead involving a mysterious vampire named Sofya, who may have the answers they’re looking for. Meanwhile, tensions inside the compound build as Kol is forced to come face to face with his brother Finn, the person responsible for his death. Elsewhere, Klaus and Hayley seek shelter with her former pack and stumble upon some unsettling news involving the threat against them.
Banshee 4.01 “Something Out of the Bible” (10pm, Cinemax) – Season Premiere
Lucas becomes immersed in a new Banshee crisis involving a vicious serial murderer.
SATURDAY
Nothing on Saturday to look forward to anymore now that Black Sails is over for another season. Time to catch up on anything that was missed during the week!
SUNDAY
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy borrows its episode title from a song used in the movie and The Walking Dead’s season finale arrives with nobody safe. Also, in the non-comic book world, Vinyl airs the penultimate episode of its first season.
