Aquaman #49 by Kelly Sue Deconnick, Viktor Bogdanovic, Jonathan Glapion, Ryan Winn, Sunny Gho

Josh: It’s been a wild ride of myth and mystery ever since Kelly Sue Deconnick took over writing this nautical hero. It’s been consistently packed with fright and sleuthing – not to mention the art from Viktor Bogdanovic. He captures every sinister note from the script, making Aquaman hard to look away from. It’s a duo that makes this series one to look forward to, and that every fan should be reading.

Guardians of the Galaxy #6 by Donny Cates, Geoff Shaw, David Curiel

Jeremy: Few writers at marvel have had such a hot rise to fame like Donny Cates. He now has his hands on some of Marvel’s most beloved heroes, the Guardians of the Galaxy. Things have been shaken up already and Groot is in charge. Thanos is coming back, the Black Order is here, and Hela is in the mix as well. Needless to say, this is a must read series.

Miles Morales: Spider-Man #7 by Saladin Ahmed, Ron Ackins, Vanesa R. Del Rey, Javi Garron, Alitha E. Martinez, David Curiel

Milo: Saladin Ahmed’s Miles Morales: Spider-Man has been one of the most entertaining Spider-Man books around. This book looks set to deal with the fallout from the first arc and will cause him to take stock on his life, with potential for another gamechanger. Ahmed is the best Marvel writer working at the moment and his collaboration with Ron Ackins, Vanesa R. Del Rey & Javier Garron on artistic duties will really help make this book stand out. Plus, the return of Patrick O’Keefe with a stunning cover enforces this book’s status as a shining light.
