The series really could go either way at this point; it has potential to be a slick action series. That being said, it has some major issues to iron out with dialogue, as it is clunky, and hugely detracts from the reading experience.
Cuticle Detective Inaba, as silly as the series often is, is mustering a lot of effort for what is presumably the series final arc. It is a shame the series did not develop darker plots until what is presumed to be near the end.
