It’s a good week for comic television, assuming you’re not too busy watching Daredevil Season 2 that is, and then it turns into an epic week. But here’s what we’ve got coming your way – all the regular series are back, making it a busy week if you’re catching up on all of them! As usual, this column looks at the episode descriptions for each episode coming this week, as well as picking up to two non-comic book related shows that you should consider watching on each day. The shows are listed in order of broadcast date and time, and then alphabetical by network; shows that aren’t comic book-related are marked with an asterisk.

So without further ado, let’s begin!

MONDAY

Supergirl and Gotham compete for your 8pm slot, whilst Lucifer teams up with a priest for episode 9 and there’s more fun to be had elsewhere in The Magicians & Better Call Saul.

SUPERGIRL 1.17 “MANHUNTER”, 8pm (CBS)

Supergirl-1.17

Also, Penguin’s visit to some old friends leads him to meet his father, Elijah Van Dalh, and Bruce practices his street smarts.

LUCIFER 1.09 “A PRIEST WALKS INTO A BAR” 9pm (FOX)

A priest seeks out Lucifer’s help when he suspects an underground drug operation has set up shop at a neighborhood youth center. Meanwhile, Malcolm manipulates a way to keep an eye on Dan.

BETTER CALL SAUL 2.06 “BALI HA’I” 10pm (AMC)*

TUESDAY

The Flash makes a return as Barry battles a rival speedster intent on creating chaos; Bobbi & Hunter find themselves involved in an assassination plot on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD; iZombie solves the murder of a research scientist. These are my three favorite comic book shows on TV at the moment, so having them all on the same night makes things incredibly awesome indeed. Oh, and don’t forget Limitless, featuring a return for Bradley Cooper’s character Senator Morra.

THE FLASH 2.16 “TRAJECTORY” 8pm (The CW)

The-Flash-2.16

Having arrived in town intent on creating maximum chaos, Trajectory’s antics are misinterpreted as having been perpetrated by the Flash himself. Barry thus must quickly uncover the mystery of who is the girl under the mask — as well as what is driving her mad desire for speed and destruction.

MARVEL’S AGENTS OF SHIELD 3.09 “PARTING SHOT” 9pm (ABC)

While investigating the murder of a research scientist who was recently demoted at her job, Liv and Detective Babineaux are shocked to learn where she had been employed. Meanwhile, Blaine pays Ravi a visit at the morgue, and Liv discovers something new about Drake. Lastly, Vaughn du Clark confronts Major.

LIMITLESS 1.19 “A DOG’S BREAKFAST” 10pm (CBS)*

Brian’s double life unravels when Senator Morra makes contact just as Brian’s placed under 24-hour surveillance by the FBI following his rogue trip to Russia. Also, Mike and Ike tell an already suspicious Rebecca about Brian’s off-book interaction with Morra’s henchman, Sands.

WEDNESDAY

Felicity and Oliver stage a wedding to act as bait for Cupid in Arrow; Kanan, Erza & Ahsoka prepare to start on the journey to discover Vader’s secret in Star Wars Rebels; plans for an escape continue in Underground; on The Americans, Phillip and Elizabeth have a Pastor-Tim sized problem.

The timetable for escape is agreed upon; and Rosalee is tasked with the most important part of the plan.

THE AMERICANS 4.01 “PASTOR TIM” 10pm (FX)

the-americans-4.02

Philip tries with increasing desperation to get rid of a sensitive and dangerous package as family tensions in the Jennings House reach a boiling point when Paige shares a secret of her own.

THURSDAY

No Legends of Tomorrow on Thursday and How to Get Away With Murder has concluded, so this Thursday is a light one. Scandal and Vikings have been enjoyable to watch so far this season for both shows so hopefully they return with another solid episode between them!

SCANDAL 5.15 “PENCIL’S DOWN” 9pm (ABC)*

When Mellie makes a very public faux pas, Olivia must decide how far she’ll go to fix it. Meanwhile, the Gladiators learn valuable intel about Jake’s new love interest, and David Rosen seeks advice about his love triangle with Liz North and Susan Ross.

VIKINGS 4.06 “WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN” 10pm (History)*

Ragnar declares another raid on Paris at the Thing in Kattegat; Ecbert also has a journey in mind as he dispatches Aethelwulf and Alfred on a pilgrimage to Rome.

FRIDAY

Sleepy Hollow explores Crane’s past with Betsy Ross and Grimm deals with a disease that may be the inspiration for the modern-day werewolf myth. So there might not be any Vampire Diaries or Originals on Friday – but you can still enjoy some supernatural drama!

SLEEPY HOLLOW 3.16 “DAWN’S EARLY LIGHT” 8pm (Fox)

sleepy-hollow-3.16

As The Hidden One grows stronger, Crane must examine his past with Betsy Ross to find the key to stopping him. Meanwhile, Jenny wonders if she can ever have a relationship with her father, and Abbie faces a hard decision as things with Reynolds become more strained.

Meanwhile, Adalind is offered an uneasy alliance that may help her get back what she wants most. Elsewhere, Eve’s investigation uncovers a surprising revelation.

SATURDAY

As usual, just the one show, but it promises to be an epic one, ladies and gentlemen. The final episode of Black Sails Season 3 is upon us!

BLACK SAILS 3.10 “XXVIII” 9pm (Starz)*

The usual rule applies of no summary to this one but trust me, you’ll want to check it out. This season has been epic.

SUNDAY

Following a double bill of DisneyXD’s animated shows, GOTG and Avengers Assemble, we have a search for someone missing on The Walking Dead; elsewhere outside the realms of comic book television, the hugely underrated Vinyl follows up its interpretation of David Bowie with an interpretation of the King himself, Elvis Presley. So another awesome night of television there.

MARVEL’S GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 1.16 “WE ARE THE WORLD TREE” 8pm (DisneyXD)

In search of the Cosmic Seed, the Guardians unexpectedly find themselves in Asgard where they must outwit Thor and Angela in order to discover the seed’s origins.

MARVEL’S AVENGERS ASSEMBLE 3.03 “SAVING CAPTAIN ROGERS” 8:30pm (Disney XD)

Captain America battles to rescue Bucky who has been captured by Baron Zemo.

THE WALKING DEAD 6.15 “EAST” 9pm (AMC)

When someone goes missing in Alexandria, the community goes on alert, and search parties venture out.

VINYL 1.07 “THE KING AND I” 9pm (HBO)*

Looking to raise cash for his label, a newly sober Richie flies to LA with Zak, hoping to sell the company jet to Lou Meshejian, a rival record exec. After attending a beachfront party teeming with many of Lou’s music clients, Richie and Zak head to Las Vegas in hopes of somehow convincing Elvis Presley and his manager, Colonel Parker, that the King should ditch his label and sign with American Century. The detour includes a steamy encounter in which Zak’s fantasies come true, at a price.
