All-Comic’s You Should Be Reading is the weekly list of comics we can’t wait to get our hands on. Each of our writers picks their most-anticipated comic for the upcoming week and sums up why it needs to be on your radar. Get your comic shop on the phone – here’s what you should be reading on August 21, 2019. This week, we’re looking at Jughead’s Time Police #3 and Valkyrie: Jane Foster #2
Jughead’s Time Police #3 by Sina Grace, Derek Charm, Matt Herms, Jack Morelli
Josh: The name says it all for this book. Thanks to witty scripts from Sina Grace and lively art by Derek Charm, I know when this comic lands in my stack that a healthy dose of endorphins await me. In this next issue, things heat up as Jug realizes not everyone in the future has his best interests at heart – and maybe he should think about something other than winning the Riverdale bake-off. It’s an absolute chef’s kiss of a series I wish could go on forever.
Valkyrie: Jane Foster #2 by Jason Aaron, Al Ewing, Cafu, Jesus Aburtov, Joe Sabino
Jeremy: the first issue of this series was fun. Jane Foster’s time as the god of thunder was a ride I wasn’t expecting to like as much as I did. Jason Aaron is back to writing Jane, and this time she’s going up against Bullseye. If there is one thing we’ve learned reading marvel books, it’s that Jason Aaron can write Jane Foster as good and interesting as any character. Don’t sleep on this book, it looks like it’s going to be a blast.
