Broken World #3

The third issue of the series maintains this intrigue, but with so much ground still to cover it feels a like there will be a lot packed into the final chapter.

Ultimate End #4

This issue is just not good enough. The art is a nice little boost but it can’t pull Ultimate End #4 out of the gutter.

The Long Year

Claire Connelly’s work is bursting at the seams with imagination and visual feasts for the eyes.

Deadly Class #15

Deadly Class delivers brilliant material. Remender truly knows how voice teenagers and their problems and the art team delivers an impressively stylized 1988, but never loses sight of the reality of the characters and their conflicts.

Star Wars #7

Readers who have been enjoying the first six issues can enjoy this book, but if you haven’t been up to date than this standalone issue is the perfect place to test this book out for yourself.

Superman #42

Despite a few mixed complaints that this reviewer had with Superman #42 it was still a pretty solid book that continues the “Truth” event and it will be interesting to see what Yang has in store going forward.

Imperium #7

Imperium #7 is a well-crafted story that furthers the tale of Toyo Harada in his quest to remake the world. The inclusion of Divinity adds another dimension to this thought-provoking story, the outcome of which will reverberate throughout the Valiant universe and leave readers clamoring for more.

The Shrinking Man #1

The visuals are stunning and stylish and the craftsmanship and technical skill is thoroughly impressive, but the tone and subtext completely clash in terms of offering a truly nourishing narrative experience.
