Cyborg #1

…this isn’t a review of the series to come it’s a review of the issue at hand and this is a pretty lame issue. Here’s hoping for better in issue #2.

Ring of Roses

With so much going on for so long, it never really has much to say about any of the topics it makes use of; the villainous sect inside of this realities’ Roman Catholic Church is near mustache-twirling and their scheme doesn’t speak to the real life devastation of the bubonic plague.

Star Wars: Tarkin

Tarkin might not be the book you were expecting, or even a book that you thought you wanted, but it’s more than worth the read.

Book of Death: The Fall of Bloodshot #1

Overall, Book of Death: The Fall of Bloodshot #1 is a perfect companion book not just to this summer’s event, but also to the mythos of Bloodshot itself. With emotional storytelling and beautifully illustrated pages, this will certainly stand out as one of the finest Bloodshot stories to date.

Ivar, Timewalker #7

Pithy banter, real stakes, richly relatable characters, and lively action combine once again to make Ivar, Timewalker dare you to have as much fun as the creators clearly are.

Aliens vs. Zombies #1

Aliens vs. Zombies probably won’t change anyone’s life, but it’s a great ride of a comic and a thoroughly enjoyable adventure through genre fusion. Best of all, every page oozes with passion and effort from everyone involved.

Death Head #1

Death Head #1 is a great homage to classic horror movies while creating a new and frightening entity to rule your nightmares!
