Green Arrow: Rebirth #1

Thanks to Rebirth, love is in the air and that makes it an exciting time for our heroes. Percy and Schmidt with this one shot alone have laid the groundwork for what looks to be a promising beginning for Oliver and Dinah.

Wonder Woman: Rebirth #1

If this is the rebirth of Wonder Woman, count me in. The story and art of this issue really set the tone for her future stories and they will be done with two alternating stories with one arc titled ‘The Lies’ and the other ‘Year One’. DC seems to be doing everything right after Rebirth, and if this is an indication of the books come we should all start adding them to our pull lists.

Head Lopper #4

If this relatively small (in terms of distribution) yet big (in terms of quality) miniseries has passed you by, pick up the trade… Head Lopper is a visually arresting, perfectly paced and devilishly funny epic of aesthetic & narrative scope, brought to life with the richest characters in comics in years.

Abe Sapien #34

That long promised apocalypse is a hell of a lot closer than the characters of its world would like. After years of being told the end times are coming all across these books, and readers feeling like the child in the back of the car constantly asking “are we there yet?”; the answer from Mignola is finally: “Nearly.”

Empress #3

Issue #3 of Empress shows no signs that the series is slowing down and, as was the case with the first two issues, begs you to grab the next one. Almost unbelievably, the story seems to be picking up pace and only getting better.

Aquaman: Rebirth #1

…AQUAMAN is still hard to recommend to anyone other than huge fans. If you don’t like the character, this comic is not going to convince you otherwise.

The Flash: Rebirth #1

The Flash: Rebirth #1 was a fun read that had decent art in it. Joshua Williamson gave readers an interesting first issue that should get fans coming back.
